I am gettin' real excited about next Trade Days which will be the weekend after Christmas. I made up this little coupon to go in the Canton Guide, but want you all to know about it as well. Mention it when you buy somethin' for 10% off your purchase!

Hope to see you there! I bought a bunch of new LED lights for the shop and can't wait to get out there and get 'em up. The lights that were left out there have every other 3 feet out. The new lights should really brighten it up for evening shopping as well as being better for the environment. I hope the weather is as beautiful as last Trade Days.

If you can't wait 'til Trade Days, check out our booths at Touch of Class in Sherman, Texas. We have the two window booths on the mezzanine. 20% off sale in our booths through the end of December! There are three floors of antique shopping at Touch of Class so you should be able to find something you like.

Trade Days in December

Had a great time last weekend at First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. The weather was gorgeous for most of Saturday until the evening when the front started comin' in. Don't forget that there are technically two Trade Days weekends in December this month as First Monday for January is on the 2nd. We'll be open from December 30th-January 2nd. The Mountain would be a great place to spend New Year's! Shopping is open late, there are numerous bed and baths to choose from, and a lot of great restaurants. And let me tell you these people know how to party up on the Mountain! There is live entertainment in the evenings that carries on until 11pm. Gypsy Chicks plan on bein' open until midnight New Year's Eve, so come shop from one year into the next!

Mom can't resist buyin' bird baths and I can't blame her. I love these old concrete styles. They're all different and have so much personality. Aren't they lovely?

Here are some examples of the neat stuff we have on the front porch at Gypsy Chicks. Windows, doors, and all kinds of other architectural goodies. So much stuff out there that sometimes people don't see the front door of the shop! There is an inside too, so be sure to come on in and see what we've got inside as well.

This picture is from the November Trade Days, but I wanted to give mention (and say thanks!) to our new friends at The Piney Woods Herb Farm. I hope you ladies are lovin' your new old glider out there on the farm!

Big thanks to all our shoppers this month. Without you guys, there wouldn't be a Gypsy Chicks. We look forward to seein' you all again real soon--hopefully at the end of the month!

OPEN! Come on in

Thanks to everyone who visited Halloween weekend. My mom and I are already lookin' forward to next Trade Days and findin' lots of goodies to bring with us.

Here's a panel door that my mom attached some Texas license plates to. It's a really cute look and we have quite a few plates if you want to replicate it. The door is for sale also. We're always findin' great shabby doors. Check out the close-up of another we have below:

The picture doesn't do this one justice. You really should see it in person. I wanted a close-up so you could see the gorgeous patina. It was a pale green door that had been painted white. There are just patches of white paint remaining and the green is so thin beneath that you can see the wood grain. This one I absolutely love, but I can't keep everything I like (Too bad!). I hope it finds a great home soon with someone that finds it as lovely as I do.

It has been really crazy for me and my mom this past month. Mom bought a little shop on The Mountain in Canton, Texas and we have been like headless chickens workin' to get it ready for this last Trade Days. A big welcome and thank you to everyone that stopped by this last weekend! Please drop us a comment if you stopped by or if you plan to go to Canton in the future.

Here are some pictures of the shop before we really started packin' things in for Trade Days:

Above is the front of the store so it will be easy for you to find us. It has a great old time-y look and says Field's General Store up top. I haven't decided if I will paint that yet but there are plenty of other Gypsy Chicks signs up now so we should be easy to locate.

Here you can see our large covered patio on the side of the shop and mom puttin' up some cute picket fencing. With the patio and the great front porch, our shopping area is triple the size of the inside store. This last weekend the weather was gorgeous and the outside area was so pleasant!

Here's a cute picture of my gypsy mom as we finished unloading one of the MANY loads that we took to the new Gypsy Chicks in our little trailer. With only one week to prepare we managed quite a bit though we both hope to have it even more full next Trade Days!

Pictures of the shop full of goodies comin' soon!
